Why a tunable filter
A fixed filter forces the passband to be chosen at design time. On a platform carrying several radios, or in a receiver that has to work across a wide span, that means either letting too much through or cutting off signals you need. A TunePro 2W filter sits in front of the low noise amplifier and passes only a window around the frequency in use, so a strong nearby transmitter cannot drive the amplifier into compression or use up the dynamic range of the converter. Because it retunes in 10 microseconds, one part does the work of a bank of switched filters.
Where they are used
Co-site interference mitigation on multi-radio platforms, receiver front end preselection, electronic warfare and spectrum monitoring receivers, software defined radio, and test equipment. The series is built for the vibration and shock conditions of ground mobile and airborne systems.
Choosing a model
